More change for Worship
Thank you for your support of The Worship Network. We wanted you to be the first to know about some recent developments in our ministry.
Due to changes in our contractual relationship with ION, The Worship Network will no longer be available on the ION digital multi-cast platform effective midnight January 31, 2010. In the short-term, this will also affect our channel on Verizon FiOS.
Our relationship with PAX/ION has been in place for close to 18 years, and during that time Worship has been able to impact millions of people’s lives. We are grateful to Bud Paxson and to PAX/ION for the many years we have been available through their extensive broadcast reach around the country. However, primarily due to ION’s bankruptcy filing in May of 2009, Worship’s future relationship with them became more uncertain.
This is not the first time we have faced challenges like this. In 2005 we lost our overnight hours on the then PAX network as we moved into the digital over the air spectrum. This was a very difficult time, but we strategically began to provide more online services to you through our live stream and our on-demand content and we became more intentional about offering much of our programming to you on DVD and digital download. Although there have been many challenges, we turned the potential negative of lost airtime into a positive—a more comprehensive distribution platform.
So as we face another time when we will lose much of our television presence, we will again consider other ways we can continue to make Worship available to you.
Worship is not going away! We will continue to be available through several affiliates around the US and internationally in over 50 countries. (You can visit our website to see complete listings.)
In addition, we will continue to offer online streaming of our programming plus DVDs of our most popular shows. Over 55% of our viewers tell us they watch Worship online and another 52% say they watch on DVD. None of this is negatively affected by these changes with ION. We will continue to develop our theme of “your place. your time.” so you can experience Worship when and where you want to.
So what does the future look like for The Worship Network?
1.We will continue to seek God’s direction as we faithfully bring our programming to you online, via DVDs, and through the affiliates who continue to air our programming in the US and around the world.
2.We have begun a new strategic online initiative that will result in more communication and a more robust website that will offer more video and inspirational content; it will become a place you will want to visit often.
3.We are beginning to contact new affiliates so that as soon as possible you will see us back on television 24/7 in markets all across the U.S. We will faithfully communicate with you so you will know as new stations are added. We are already receiving inquiries for our programming from various stations, but we know this will still be a challenging time for us as we rebuild.
4.Worship will need you, our most loyal viewers and donors, more than ever. The world is an increasingly desperate place, and we believe Worship was raised up to help hurting people. We will not be able to accomplish these goals without you and so we ask you to prayerfully consider how you can stand with us during this time. You can always make donations online.
As we have considered the dramatic changes ahead, you would think there would be an air of discouragement. But that is not the case. In a very strange way we feel encouraged and we have a sense of anticipation about what is now possible. The Worship Network has experienced difficulties before, but every single time God has provided a way through the wilderness. We believe “If God did it before, He can do it again!” Our team and dedicated Board know that with God’s help, all things are possible.
Worship has remained true to its original calling to help people worship God. Although we might have avoided these difficulties by compromising our mission, we remain committed to bringing Worship to you in a simple way. What can possibly be more powerful than music, scripture and God’s creation?
Each of you receiving this message is very important to us. Many of you have stood with us through our past struggles. Not only are we grateful to each of you, but we pray God will bring His blessing to you because of your support and your constant encouragement. There is much yet to be done and we only look to God’s faithfulness to continue to provide for the future ministry of The Worship Network as well as in each of our lives.
May God richly bless you!

hah i’ve been searching whenever i watch t.v. for the worship network for months. I always watched it on ion 30.4 when i was seeking God, and my favorite part of the channel ofcourse was sola scriptura with Marquis Loughlin when he would perform books of the Bible. I hope the network comes back soon to digital t.v., that would be crankin!!!
Oh please bring back the worship network on TV. My Mother and I both watched it and I’ve purchased DVDs but she still wants it back on television – if you’re having a bad day, watching it could really change your attitude. We don’t have cable so I’m hoping that it comes back to a channel where we can view it in Houston, Texas. May God continue to bless you for bringing us this wonderful avenue of worship.
I am from Houston, TX and watched on ion; it was such a wonderful blessing to me. I had previously watched it on PAX for several years in the L.A. area and there were times when it ministered to me so very greatly. I pray for your ministry and its direction; I really miss it on ion 49.4 here. Bless you for your vision in the ’90′s and into this century. GOD BLESS YOU.
I first found The Worship Network when TV went Digital. I felt blessed to find you. You brightened my life. And was sad when you left. I use an antenna for TV. Paid TV is a luxury I can’t afford. The same with high speed internet. I hope you find away to return. I am greatful for the time we had. And hope to have again.

Thank You for the blesing you give.
So why not on one of the other religious oriented networks that just show paid commercials all night long? Absolutely miss the all night, calming music and verses.
In these tough times, people need it more than ever and cannot pay for the satelite thing.
Please consider it.
I want to tell Bruce and all the staff how much your Worsip music has helped me through a very difficult time in my life. Such Grace and Worship to our Creator that I could literally feel the Holy Spirit. Your Worship music helped me to focus on and keep my eyes on Jesus. I have DVDs that I listen to especially in the mornings to get my eyes on Jesus. “Grace” by Tim Foot has had a tremendous impact in my life.
I will be praying for those doors to be opened for Worship Network. You are the kind of network that we need in this day and time. Thank you, Thank you, Worsip Network and all the Staff for your faithfulness and obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ.
I don’t even when it was don’t even know where to begin.I have watched Worship since I can remember! YEARS! Starting as a young person, far from home, family and freinds…in the hospital late at night into the very early morning hours…I’d wake up …scared to death,., But instantly be calmed by the music and pictures I’d see and hear on T.V. Then as I grew older…I realized there was scripture too! I remember thinking…WOW! What a concept.! I RRRRRRREEEEEEEAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYY LLLLLLLOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEEEEDDDDDDD It
:):):):):):)!!! NOW,I RRRRRRREEEEEEEAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYY MMMMMMMMIIIIIIISSSSSSS IT
:(:(:(:(:(:(!!!!!!! I am unfortunately not blessed enough to be able to have the funds to buy the DVDs …or get a computer so that’s strong enough to support other ways of viewing.Sssssssooooooo…as other veiwers have said, “PPPPPPPLLLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEE, BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!
:):):):):):)
I was recently very sick and I would always keep this channel on all night if I should wake up it was so very soothing and relaxing to listen to when you can’t sleep. Now it is gone and not much out there that is so fulfulling as this was. I MISS YOU Worship Channel. I almost came to tears last January when I learned that you will be leaving us. I know really need you Please Please come back…..some way some how God grant this ministry to return…
I miss your network on Ion TV. I hope you will find a way to come back on the air. This lost and dying world needs more stations like this.
It’s still hard to accept. =[ I spent many lonely nights watching the Worship Network. I felt God so close to me during those times. God used you to help me and I appreciate you all so much!
I miss WORSHIP program so much. It was so uplifting and inspiring. Many
nights when unable to sleep that program was my comfort as it brought thoughts
of God and his majesty, love, and peace. I hope someway I can view it again
on TV…there is not much worthy of my time to watch. God bless your ministry
and all the other programs that preach Jesus. In Christ’s Love, Marie, Largo, Fl.
I agree with you so much, Marie, as it is such an uplift for me, especially in these awful times where traffic in areas of technology like texting, texting, no real look at one to whom one speaks with, traffic on the roads where no one seems to care, and so on, where the world is changing with a ‘no care, sorry, too busy’ attitude. When I make it my daily habit to turn on Worship.Net, I feel the share with the way I am feeling, and note the turnaround that could happen, thanks to Worship.net. I do wish it was available more and more on TV, so that during these awful times I am going through, I could have a real friend, “Worship.net” there for me. I pray that Worship.net continues and grows and grows, as they speak with real (God’s) tongue.
How can we find out or petition to put the worship network back on ion. Many people needed it and need the Lord
Do you know when or if you will have your online 24/7 streaming back up and running agin. Thank you.
We are so close to having it back up! We’ll let you know the minute it is.
Will The Worship Channel consider broadcasting on devices like ROKU; Boxee Box; X Box 360 or PS3 via internet streaming?
