Franklin, Tenn. – October 18, 2005 – The Worship Network has relocated its corporate headquarters to Music City as part of the company’s vision to broaden corporate objectives, announced Bruce Koblish, president and CEO.
“The Nashville area is the perfect location for The Worship Network as we position our business and ministry for the future. This has become more than just Music City, but also a center of publishing, video production, film and high technology – all areas we will be engaging in while at the same time progressing in our expanded programming strategy as a 24-hour digital television network.”
The Worship Network’s executive and creative staff has moved into offices at the Dover Centre at Cool Springs in Franklin, Tenn., just south of Nashville. According to Koblish, the company will maintain a small office in their former corporate home in Clearwater, Fla. for at least a year, staffed by development and viewer relations.
The new offices of The Worship Network includes more than 5,000 square feet of office space, and will feature three state-of-the-art editing suites when its build-out is complete in the coming months.
The Worship Network is known for its unique and uplifting television programming, including its signature inspirational programming called Worship which is designed to encourage worship of God through the use of nature images, music, Scripture and inspirational messages. Worship is seen on PAX Television’s digital channels 24 hours a day in more than 40 markets, via the Sky Angel satellite package and live streaming at www.worship.net. The Worship Network also syndicates Worship programs to over 100 affiliated television stations across the U.S. which collectively reach 46 million households, and to more than 50 foreign countries.
Koblish, appointed the new president and CEO of The Worship Network in April, says that from its new home in Nashville, The Worship Network will continue to advance its broadcast platform, while working with new strategic partners to develop worship resources and products that can broaden the impact of The Worship Network’s mission.
A major objective of the network was to become a fully independent 24-hour digital network, said Koblish. Paving a way towards that end, The Worship Network gained the right to negotiate its own cable carriage agreements by revising a carriage agreement with PAX Television in July that ceased the airing of Worship on all PAX analog television stations during the overnight hours, while giving the Worship Network guaranteed rights to over-the-air digital carriage 24 hours a day in all PAX markets as the third channel position on their multi-tiered digital broadcast package.
“The Worship Network had thrived in our unique overnight schedule on PAX-TV, but as television moves towards a fully digital experience, we wanted to position ourselves to take advantage of the new opportunities this presents, not only for our current loyal viewership, but for millions more in the years to come,” Koblish said.
Koblish, with a 30-year track record as one of the most respected and accomplished executives in Christian entertainment, was first brought to The Worship Network to establish a music division and to develop new strategic partnerships which has already included the production of a worship concept DVD “18 of the World’s Greatest Hymns,” which is currently being sold at retail outlets, including Wal-Mart, while airing as Worship programming on the network. Additional strategic partners for worship resources and products will be announced in coming weeks.
“In today’s challenging world, I believe The Worship Network’s simple yet profoundly important mission of helping people to experience God through worship is more important than ever. And, the media avenues through which we can accomplish that mission are wider than ever. As we embark on this new chapter from our new location and with an expanded vision, I look for The Worship Network to broaden its reach as it continues to bring comfort and encouragement to people all over the world,” said Koblish.
The Worship Network (www.worship.net) has distinguished itself with its signature programming Worship. By artistically blending nature images, music, Scripture and inspirational messages people are brought into a deeper relationship with God through worship. Worship is delivered through the medium of television and via a growing number of other vehicles such as the Internet, publishing and retail. The Worship Network has been recognized with numerous Telly Awards for its quality production and programming.
