Giving sacrificially
After a life-changing mission trip to Kenya, leaders from Fellowship Bible Church in Nashville wanted to give back.
The team considered issues facing the African church leaders. “Most pastors work several jobs to sustain their ministry; owning musical equipment is a luxury,” they write. “Our church had donated a drum set and a keyboard but couldn't we do more?”
FBC is home to many of the top Christian artists and producers in Nashville, so “doing more” included music—new music, Christmas music, music given away!
On December 6 Fellowship presented "Ring the Bells: A Christmas Offering” to benefit its African mission partnerships. Every artist, musician and producer donated his time and talent to create a CD, and Fellowship will donate every dollar from the CD and the concert to missions.
The Worship Network videotaped this special event, featuring live performances by Christy Nockels, Cheri Keaggy, Geoff Moore, Cindy Morgan, Erin O'Donnell, and many others.
